Youth Mission Trip 2017
Daily from 07/22/2017 to 07/28/2017
This year St. John's Youth will travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, to respond with disaster relief for tornado, flood and hurricane victims. New Orleans continues to suffer the effects of Hurricane Katrina, other tornadoes and floods. We will do our part to reconstruct homes and families working with individual homeowners, most of whom are disabled and/or veterans, through a group called Rebuild Together New Orleans.
For the past four years, we have gone to Colorado to respond to wildfires and flooding, working mainly to reclaim and repair forest areas. This year we will be working directly with homeowners who don't have insurance or any other means to pay for home repairs. We will be building wheel chair ramps, installing handles in bathrooms and general repairs for individuals, which will provide our group a chance to meet the people they are helping.
If you or your family are interested in taking this journey with us or interested in more information, please contact Paula Rule. The dates of the trip are July 22 through July 28.
Donations for this journey may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church with the notation: "St John's Youth Missions."
