The General Convention is the governing body of the Episcopal Church, meeting every three years to consider resolutions, elect people to various positions, and approve a triennial budget for the denomination.
Each diocese is represented at the General Convention by its bishop(s) and by clergy and lay deputies.
This summer’s General Convention will be in Austin, Texas, July 3-13. The Rev. Irv Cutter will be part of the Diocese of Oklahoma deputation as an Alternate Deputy.
In this forum, Irv will remind people about the format of General Convention and discuss some of the key issues that are likely to come up.
Later in the summer, Irv will lead another forum discussing what happened at General Convention.
