Choral Evensong

Choral Evensong is offered every Sunday of the year as well as on various mid-week feast days. It is sung normally by the Chamber Choir, an ensemble of auditioned professional singers. The Parish Choir sings several times throughout the calendar year.

Howells Canticles

Over the next two years, the Chamber Choir will undertake a major project in learning the rest of the complete 20 Evening Canticle settings of Herbert Howells (1892-1983). Several are already offered regularly, but there are over a dozen more. In Fall 2021 Howells canticles will be offered on September 5 and 19, October 3, and November 7. The complete Canticles will be offered in a special Choral Evensong series in 2023, the 40th anniversary of Howells’ death.
